In our neck of the woods, the Rotary Club and a local nature center have a “green breakfast” on St. Patrick’s Day, which happens to be my son’s birthday. We joined what seemed to be your typical pancake breakfast but soon noticed the compostable tableware, recycling stations, local maple syrup, and tables with information about local initiatives.
